This post walks through what happens to a token on Gamapad, from the moment it is created to the moment it trades in a DEX pool, and which parts of that process are guaranteed by the contracts.

Launching a token

A creator picks a name, ticker, image and links, and sends one transaction. That transaction creates the token and its bonding curve together. The full supply goes straight into the curve. The creator does not receive a free allocation; anyone who wants tokens, including the creator, buys them on the curve.

Trading on the bonding curve

A new token usually has no market until someone adds liquidity to a pool, and whoever adds that liquidity can also take it away. A bonding curve removes that step.

On Gamapad, the curve contract is the market. It holds the tokens, quotes a price for every buy and sell, and collects the ETH that buyers pay. Buying raises the price and selling lowers it, following a formula that is fixed when the token is created. Trading opens as soon as the token is created, and nobody has to put up liquidity for it to work.

Every trade has a slippage limit. If the price moves further than the trader allowed before the transaction is confirmed, the trade is rejected instead of filling at a worse price.

Graduation to a DEX pool

Each token has a graduation target. When buyers reach it, the token graduates in the same transaction:

The ETH collected by the curve and the remaining tokens are placed into a DEX pool.

The pool opens at the curve's last price, so the price does not jump.

The curve closes, and the token continues trading in the pool.

Holders do not need to claim, migrate or swap anything. The token contract and every balance stay the same.

Liquidity that cannot be withdrawn

The pool's liquidity is held by a locker contract, and that contract has no withdraw function. A hook on the pool also rejects any attempt to remove liquidity. No address, including the creator's and Gamapad's, can remove it.

The liquidity is locked, not burned. It stays in the pool permanently and keeps serving buyers and sellers.

Rules fixed at launch

The token's supply, its curve settings, its creator tax and its name, ticker and image are written at launch and cannot be changed later. If Gamapad updates its default settings in the future, the change only applies to tokens created after it.

Creator earnings

Every trade pays a fee in ETH, on the curve and in the pool. Part of that fee goes to the token's creator, and creators can add an optional creator tax when they launch. The creator's share is paid into a fee vault contract with every trade and can be claimed at any time.

Your funds stay in your wallet

Gamapad is non-custodial. Every launch, trade and claim is a transaction signed in the user's own wallet, and Gamapad never holds user funds. Token pages, the portfolio and platform analytics are built from data read directly from the chain. The interface is available in English and Korean.

You can launch or trade tokens on GIWA at gamapad.com. The protocol documentation is at gamapad.com/en/docs, and we post updates on X at @gamapadcom.

New tokens are high risk and can lose all of their value. Nothing in this post is financial advice.
